Information Booths
Locations
Lot E46, near the entrance to Forbes and south of Evers, near the exhibits. Both booths will have signs out and blue canopy tents.
Information Booths will be the initial points where vital event information will be shared with exhibitors, event personnel, attendees, and/or emergency personnel. Children found separated from their groups should be escorted to one of the two booths and monitored there until they can be reunited with their group. Water, maps, and protocols will also be located at these booths.
Floaters, Volunteers
For assistance before, during, or after the event, please locate and contact the nearest “Floater”, a volunteer in a PRI high-visibility vest, assigned to assist your area. Contact the Floater if you need:
- to contact event organizers
- supplies
- a break (lunch, bathroom, etc.)
- a drink or snack brought to you
- extra help or to ask a question
First Aid
During an emergency, call 911.
Non-transport EMS will be located at Lot E46 near Enterprise Works on Friday and Saturday. Individuals needing non-life-threatening first aid may go there or may contact METCAD’s non-emergency number at 217-333-8911 to direct on-site EMS to their location.
AEDs are located inside Forbes and ISTC.
Fire
Inside
Pull the fire alarm, direct visitors to the nearest exit, and exit the building yourself. Fire alarms are located next to stairwells. Do not use the elevators during a fire.
Evacuation Assembly Areas
- Forbes – Lot E46 toward EnterpriseWorks (do not block emergency responder access at the entrance to Lot E46)
- ISTC – Lot E43 (north of ISTC), Annex
Outside
Fire extinguishers are available in each set of 20×20 ft tents (south of Evers and east of Forbes)
Severe Weather
In the event of severe weather, exhibitors will be moved inside to the nearest safe shelter building. Follow instructions from event personnel about moving exhibits indoors. Visitors may continue to see exhibits in Forbes and ISTC during inclement weather, depending on the severity.
Storm Refuge Areas
- Forbes – Southeast stairwell (near main entrance), northwest stairwell, first-floor restrooms.
- ISTC – Men’s and Women’s Restrooms, interior corridors around Room 163 (away from exterior windows)

Food and Water
Food and refreshments for staff and volunteers are located in Forbes room 2064 and ISTC room 116. In addition to water fountains and sinks inside both buildings, drinking water is also available at the Information Stations and at large water tanks near the outdoor exhibits.
