Getting There

By Bus

MTD services nearby bus stops on the 1 Yellow, 9 Brown, 10 Gold, 14 Navy, and 24 Link routes during weekday daytime service. On Saturdays, the 100 Yellow route can get you to the expo. Use MTD’s Trip Planner to plan a trip for Friday or Saturday.

Parking

Bikes/Scooters

Bike racks are located throughout Research Park, including at the Forbes Natural History Building (in Lot E46), the Evers Lab (1909 S Oak St), EnterpriseWorks (60 Hazelwood Dr), and the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center.

Cars

• Friday – Free parking is available at the Atkins Building lot (1800 S Oak St). Paid parking is available at meters near the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center.
• Saturday – Free public parking is available at the lot at the Atkins Building, Lot E46 by the Forbes Natural History Building, and all other lots in Research Park.

School Bus Loading & Parking Instructions

For registered school groups only: Please park at Lot E14, preferably in the southwest corner near the intersection of St. Mary’s Road and Oak Street. Event staff and volunteers will be present in Lot E14 to escort school groups to the event area (1 block away). Event staff will provide bus drivers with a parking tag for each bus.
