Volunteer
We’re gearing up for the PRI Expo on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, 2025, and we need your help to make it a success! This is a great opportunity to work alongside PRI scientists and engage with the community! Sign up online to volunteer!
Shifts
Please sign up for at least one morning or afternoon shift during the event or assist with setup and teardown. For groups like clubs or student organizations, only one contact person should sign up to volunteer on behalf of the group. Volunteers can help with a variety of tasks, including:
- Event Setup & Teardown – On Thursday before the event or after the event ends on Saturday
- Education Exhibits & Activities – Work with exhibitors and engage with kids and community members
- Greeters & Information Services – Provide directions, assist with coordination, and act as crossing guards and traffic control
- School Group Assistance – Guide school buses and groups on Friday
- Lunch Area Management – Friday only, for visiting K-12 students
You can indicate your preferred role when signing up!
Plan your Day
What to wear and bring
The event takes place indoors and outdoors, with most exhibits and activities outside. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
We recommend bringing:
✔️ Snacks
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ A refillable water bottle (refill stations available)
In the event of severe weather, the event will move inside.
Checking In
Please arrive at your shift 15 minutes before your shift starts. All volunteers must check in at the information booth located at the entrance to Forbes Natural History Building and Lot E46. Staff and volunteers will direct you to your shift location.
Additional Instructions and Contact
After completing the volunteer form, PRI staff will confirm that you are registered as a volunteer and will provide more details via email.
